Axxess goes slow...

Right, I have my accounts with Axxess. They were all 384k uncapped. No problems. So they dropped the price of 1MB, so myself and my father-in-law upgraded. AWESOME!!!! Then telkom upgraded 1MB to 2MB, so I wanted to upgrade both our accounts but we couldn't. We had to cancel the accounts on the your-express realm and take accounts on the youruncap realm. Also was told that the network quality would be better. So I moved all my accounts... bar one. Now I have a 2MB account that runs at 1MB. According to Axxess the account is working 100% but according to SpeedTest.net and no matter what server I test from, I can not get a speed greater than 1.25Mbps. Not impressed.

Is there an ISP that offers reseller accounts that actually provides the speeds they advertise cos I want to move ALL my accounts NOW!!!

Got off the phone with them. They say that they are having a problem with Internet Solutions at the moment. Just have to wait and see...

What test app do you use? I am using speedtest.net and testing with multiple SA servers.
 
Just spoke to my father in law who is also using a axxess 2MB uncapped account on the same realm... and he is getting 260KBps through put... **** that's fast... so I am gonna try a new router...
 
I've had the same issue, I had a 384 uncapped from axxess with no problems, Telkom upgraded my line to 1mb on the 30th, I asked them if they could please create a new 1mb uncapped account to start the next day. They instead the following day to made a custom invoice for me to pay the difference as they had activated the 384 and then bumped up to a 1mb account.

For the 1st of october and maybe the 2nd it was running full speed no worries, Since then its been running at 384 speeds constantly no matter what time of day or night.

As i speak i am getting +-25Kb/s.

First they said it was my router but all my other capped accounts have been running at 1mbps. Now they saying they having issues with IS and expect it to be resolved on 17th..

Im just gonna rather cancel the account this month and create another one.

Results, Ping 102ms, Dl 0.25Mbps UL 0.41Mbps

17th???? No **** that!!! They must credit me for the days I have **** service then. I am moving to Open Web. They sent me a trial account to test out and see the speed difference. I bought a new router today so gonna try that first. I do not believe the IS story as my father in law is on the same realm as me with the same package and is getting full speed.

Then why is it that my father who is using the exact same realm, is getting full speed?

Just tried am OpenWeb account and got 1.68, switched back to Axxess and got 1.30. Going to phone Telscum and have my line tested. Already replaced my router with a brand new one.
 
Just called Telkom. The rep said that the problem is because I am using a private ISP and that my ISP is upgrading my exchange. I argued and said that I had the same problem with OpenWeb, she said that all private ISPs are running slow. She said I must call back in 7 days. I argued until I got to speak to the supervisor who appologised and said the rep was new (sic) and that Telkom would monitor my line from tomorrow morning (Friday) and if need be they will dispatch a technician to fix the fault. It could be a cable fault. Now we are getting somewhere...
 
Mine is still giving the same problem, But cant be a Line or router issue as im getting full speed on other accounts,
Getting so over it as well, Thinking maybe changing over to another ISP..
 
My Speedtest.net results show 350kbps download speed and 320kbps upload on my 1Mbps account. Is that what other people have been getting or is this throttling going on? Either way, not happy at all. What problems with IS do they have? Are there any Axxess reps around?

Are you on uncapped or per GB? As far as I know they have not moved over the uncapped accounts yet.
 
Right now I have 0.95mb/sec download and 0.42mb/sec upload. This is a 2mb line. Didn't bother calling them though. No problems with downloads, have done 45Gb since 1st of the month
 
today I switched my axxess 2mb account to 1mb... now my download speed shoots up to 1.85Mbps????????
