Axxess Home Uncapped

Searched through the forum, but the posts are very old, so here the Q

The Axxess Home Uncapped packages 4/8mbps, any one using them and can comment if they are decent? Would be used for streaming Netflix/twitch mostly. Gaming is not a priority, as I would just go with the capped axxess for that if needed.
 
Been with them for years now, originally had the old 1 and 2mbps line* before it got upgraded to 4mbps, recently upgraded the line to 8mbps to match the given speed from Axxess (We were originally signed up for the correct speed in relation to the line, but as their prices dropped we got 'bumped up' in maximum allowed speeds for the same price)

I can't really speak of Netflix or Twitch (though can say the one time I tried it, it was pretty unusable on 4mbps), but do watch plenty of Youtube, which works out great as long as you don't try to go above 480p(again on 4mpbs). Since upgrading to 8mbps I can comfortably watch videos(360/480p, but sometimes it tries to automatically switch to a much worse resolution and I have to manually change it back), play online games and have a download running in the background all at the same time without noticing any problems loading.

*We have the line at Telkom, but ISP Axxess since we have to pay for the telephone anyways
 
You are going to be very disappointed on Home Uncapped from Axxess, it is throttled quiet hard.

Home uncapped torrent speeds 400kb/s-600kb/s, Twitch medium-high streaming and 480-720p on Youtube. All on a 10mb/s line.
Capped 300 gig account torrent speeds 900kb/s-1.1mb/s, Twitch high-Source streaming and 1080p on Youtube. All on a 10mb/s line.

I would 100% go for a capped account, plus you get the uncapped from 12pm-6am so you can do all the big downloads in that time and your data carries over for 3 months.

You will be ok with streaming and gaming with the Home Uncapped packages. backing up the whole internet via Torrents can be a bit painful ;)

Why on earth would you buy uncapped? High-cap accounts are aplenty with many offering zero-rated traffic from midnight to 6AM for your torrents and things. Now you fiddle around with 2 accounts etc.

Well..

Question was about axxess home uncapped, for Netflix/twitch.. clearly I wont be downloading torrents/nntp as any bob and his inbred uncle knows capped is better for that.

Streaming Netflix/twitch on higher quality eats through a capped account extremely fast, making it more expensive than the home uncapped, thus the question about if it actually works on the home uncapped.

Premium uncapped dips into high capped account pricing, effectively making premium uncapped pointless.

As I said before. The streaming should be fine using the home uncapped account. My friend uses it without any streaming problems. If not then just cancel and move on. ;)
 
Netflix and Youtube all good on Axxess 8Mb Home Uncapped, ok for gaming (most of the time).!
