bb_matt, Explain? - Over in the adsl section, there seem to be mostly pretty happy users of these guys.. I know I've mailed them and asked various questions, and they've got back to me within an hour or so. Only drawback I can see is the long distance help number. From what I can gather though (based on reading over in the adsl forum) they seem to be delivering the service without any real problems..

What this has to do with Iburst at all.....There is a nice ADSL forum go there and post it man ....why u advertise urself here?
Thats just stupid...

Yeah methinks this thread will get more focussed attention in the ADSL forum, moving it there now...:)

Ares, do yourself a favour and search myadsl for Axxess and you will be very pleasantly surprised as to the excellent feedback there is on the Axxess ADSL service. I am yet to see any negative comments made by anyone who has come into contact with Axxess.

Agree with above - search the forum, you'll find plenty of stuff on Axxess. Personally, I have their 10 gig account and am MOST impressed. Service is fantastic!

I am curious about something... when looking at the signup contract.. you are giving permission to a person to debit your bank account... and not to a company..., why?

also curious if they are 2good to be true...

At this point, their debit order system isn't working, so you make a payment into their bank account. No fuss.

This compnay has been around for about 3 - 4 years, as I understand it. They have several ICafe's in PE, which have been there for some time. They're not fly by night operators. Today is the 1st, I used 10.2 gigs last month - they're the real deal.

I have recieved only top notch service thus far from Axxess!!

This morning I started using their 10GB account but I misplaced my password.

Didn't really care cause I will only be needing access tonight after work so I left home. Thing is, I think I left my router on auto connect, so I'm probably flooding them with requests to connect but with wrong password.

Wasn't long when I received a call from axxess asking if I'm having trouble logging in!!

I'm impressed!!

:)

My experience so far has been good. The contract factor is actually a non-issue, as they don't have the billing mechanisms in place - they will send you a monthly invoice, which you can remit via EFT. Chat to Johan Haasbroek if you've got any queries. Recommended...

I'm into my second month with them, on a 10gig account. Extremely pleased with them, no hassles, nothing. They're definitely keeping me as a customer.

It is also my second month with them and I am happy. My only gripe is when you hit your cap and yes it can happen you cannot access your emails as the mail server is not local. I guess you can then just buy a bigger package next time.

No complaints so far. It's quite liberating not having to watch every byte you upload or download.

Er, think I was posting while rather under the influence and got the wrong thread or something :)

BTW, it looks like a good deal - definately considering it.
Paying an extra R150pm for another 7gig sounds great.

But this is what stops me :-

HTTP traffic is given a priority. And P2P is shaped. We don't recommend the Uncapped ADSL accounts if you need speed!

only 1 concurrent connection is allowed per username/password.

I listen to streaming radio fairly often and use bittorrent for linux stuff, my 384 line can handle a DSL/LAN/Cable winamp radio stream reasonably well - starts of shakey, after 10 mins is pretty stable.

The fact that they don't reccommend the uncapped - does that apply to the 10, 20 and 30gig accounts to ? - I would assume not ?
If the 10gig account can handle streaming audio as well as my current hellkom account, then I'd go for it.

1 concurrent connection is limiting - my bro uses my details for dialup and sometimes I'll use my home ADSL details at work while downloading at home on the same account.

Hmmm - maybe I'll mail um and ask my questions ...
