Hi

I recently migrated from Afrihost to Axxess.
I was on a 2mb package with Afrihost.
The package I selected on Axxess is a 4mb package.

The migration was successful. However, after speaking to someone at Telkom, I was told that my line is still at 2mb. I was also told that because my line was being managed by Axxess, they would need to process the upgrade to 4mb.
(I only found this out after creating a bunch of tickets...)

I have done so but it's been days and I am no closer to getting my desired speed.
After asking a few times, I was eventually given an order number for the upgrade.
Using the telkom website I checked the status of it but it makes no sense to me.
The status is "Checking stock in our warehouse☺" and the description is "Main Component - Wholesale ECDSL".
What does this mean and how long does it take to upgrade line speeds?

Been struggling with this since last week...

Thanks

Thanks Scary_Turtle. I'll give it a shot (fingers crossed...).

You can upgrade your line to 4Mb through the Axxess portal with a few clicks if your line is with them. Takes a day or two to take effect. No need to log into the Telkom portal at all..

On the portal, it says "Service: ADSL Line up to 4Mbps - 02......."
I've been specifically told it's still a 2mb line by Telkom.

Just got a call from an Axxess consultant. He said that there is a problem with my attenuation and sync speed.
He says it's probably the reason for the delay.

Guess I'll just have to wait and see...
