Not sure if I should post this here or in the gaming forums. I decided to try the Axxess local account for my gaming since a lot of bandwidth get consumed by gaming. On their site they say that the local accounts have full access to SAIX gaming servers. As you know, some games (like COD4) requires you to authenticate against an international server when connecting to the local game server, but this is NOT allowed on Axxess local accounts. Without the authentication you are not allowed on the server.

Do other ISP's allow the connection to the international authentication servers over their local accounts? If they do, I think it's time to move to a new ISP.
 
It's not Axxess's fault. The athentication method is of a poor design for COD4. Some ISP's might allow routing of certain traffic to international servers for authentication. Ask some CSS players that have local only accounts who they use.
 
You get a nice proggie called RouteSenty which will help you authenticate. I use it in conjunction with an Axxess local pre-paid & my Do2 account.
 
According to another thread, Axxess DOES allow traffic to the international authentication service over their local only account. This might have changed since, but try it out.

I did try it, but it didn't work... I will give RouteSentry a go and see how that works.

You could try IS 30GB or 10GB accounts. They let enough packets through to authenticate so it works. :-) Allthough when Im capped on my telkom 1GB account I can still play cod4 online. Maybe telkom allow authentication. But I think the only thing that happens there is that I am being authenticated through the server

i play cod4 on the SGS servers with only a axxesslocal only 2Gb account and the authentication works. The only problem I have had is when punkbuster has an update. You have to do the update manually using an international account.
 
Yes some times when punkbuster wants to update I get a error punkbinit failure
