Hey all,

I bought my first Axxess voucher - and created a connection with XP's built in PPPOE, but my problem is how to get it to only work in local mode. Need to read a few news stories.... Using MWEB at the mo' until I can get an answer. Thanks a lot!

Clarification: If I don't do anything fancy and just go find a few news feeds from SAIX newsserver - will it automatically count that as local?

Axxess voucher bought at PnP/Engen is always international. No local involved...everything counts as local.

If you bought it via EFT...then you will have to be a bit more specific on what exactly you bought.

Buy a Axxess local prepaid account and then use the vouchers to top it up when needed.

From the Axxess website ( http://www.axxess.co.za/vouchers.php ):

Voucher transfers:
Axxess Prepaid Vouchers available at all ENGEN, EFTPOS & Pick n' Pay stores nation wide can now be used to topup any of our Prepaid accounts.
You can only do the transfer in your CUSTOMER CONTROL PANEL (CCP).

Example:
1GB Prepaid Voucher will add 600MB to your Axxess Prepaid Unshaped account.
1GB Prepaid Voucher will add 5.8GB to your Axxess Prepaid Local Only account.
1GB Prepaid Voucher will add 1GB to your Axxess Prepaid Shaped account.
1GB Prepaid Voucher will add 800MB to your Axxess Semi Shaped account.

These voucher transfers will only work with the following Axxess ADSL account types:
Axxess Prepaid Shaped
Axxess Prepaid Semi Shaped
Axxess Prepaid Un-Shaped
Axxess Prepaid Local Only

Hope that helps. Works well for me.
