Axxess Mobile APN configuration

Hi,

Can anyone provide some insight on how to configure my Windows Mobile device with my Axxess mobile 250MB APN? :confused:
What am I missing? My Google-Fu appears to be out of sync with the universe, and this information is not displayed anywhere on Axxess FAQs.

I have sent a ticket to Axxess support and all I was provided with was:
Username: Axxess
APN: axxess

I believe that I have completed these relevant fields correctly in the Mobile APN Config - I could of course be quite wrong. :o

My Axxess service dashboard shows that I am online, and when I remove these settings above it changes to Offline, so I am of the opinion that this is set up correctly...
However, my MTN itemised online statement shows that I am connected to mymtn, which has killed 500 minutes of my airtime... :cry:

I would be grateful for any feedback - is it something I have failed to configure, or is Axxess Mobile APN a complete sham?

Have you followed these steps as set out in the "Help" section of our website https://www.axxess.co.za/help.php?tab=2. Select "Windows Phone" as your Operating System.

Also not sure if this was a typo, but the APN settings are as follows (all lower case):

Username: axxess
APN: axxess

Please let us know if you are still having issues so that we can get a Consultant to give you a call.

Thank you for the offer of assistance.

I have forwarded you my account number with Axxess via PM earlier this morning, yet I have not received a call from Axxess support.

I have also contacted MTN support, and they have advised me that, according to the information presented on their system, Axxess has not connected my number to the Axxess server APN, which is why my data connection is still using MTN connectivity, even though my APN details have been configured on my phone as they were provided by Axxess support. I was further advised by MTN support there is nothing that MTN can do in this respect as Axxess needs to connect me - they advise that I need to liaise with Axxess.

Based on the information I have been provided with I am of the opinion that the issue lies with Axxess and not with MTN.
I have opened a support ticket but this was closed even though the issue has not been resolved.

I have applied for this service and paid for it in good faith on 23 September, yet I am not able to connect and I am incurring further costs.

Kindly have support contact me with a view to resolving the matter.

Greetings Axxess Lady..... I have a question.... I have an existing MTN Sim Card, which I use for mobile data, so when I come to you which I am planning to, the process is nice and simple.

However, my questions relates to how MTN's loyalty 141 point redemption, which I redeem for data (I use 13600 points and I get 2GB of data free), would interact with your data service.

So, for example, I have 1GB of data with you, via Axxess, and then I use some of my 141 loyalty points, and add another 2GB of data via MTN, would they combine ? Or would it not work owing to the apn being different ?

I await your response with excited anticipation ! :D

They do not combine. If you're on the Axxess APN then it will use the Axxess data. You need to switch to the MyMTN apn to use the MTN data.
