Axxess Mobile Data - Cant Connect

My axxess mobile data sims dont seem to connect since this morning. Sim is registering on the network, but no data available. Have tried all the usual options, restart, change device etc.

Anyone else have a similar problem?
 
Hi Muki, there has been intermittent issues on both our DSL and Mobile services. We currently have all available resources attending to the issue. We will update once we have any new info on the issue.
 
This is very frustrating, my ADSL account is with Axxess and other than we are attending to an issue (which is now running for about 15 hours) they have nothing for us... They have no other feedback and their notes on their website for updates are average at best... my last month on Axxess, cancelling right now...
 
My one is off and on still. Not sure why but go to keep restarting device to get it to work. Axxess mobile...
 
Is any one else still experiencing this kind of issue?

Mine is very intermittent the past week! Like the Internet APN works 100% all the time, however the axxess one currently won't connect on my Android.
 
9:45 PM on Sunday and still can't connect to Axxess APN
 
I'm quite surprised to get an answer from their support after hours:
Good Day, Unfortunately we are currently experiencing an MTN related problem with the Axxess APN. This means that clients are unable to connect to the mobile APN, rendering them unable to use their mobile internet service. As yet, there is no definitive ETR. We have logged the issue with MTN and we are currently awaiting resolution. We apologise for the inconvenience and appreciate your continued patience.
 
Thanks for the update; also been having slow connectivity / time outs since end of December.
 
This worries me as i am on the verge of taking out an Axxess mobile data deal. Got me rethinking that now
 
Might not be the most reliable or fastest mobile connection at the moment, but I'm on the month-to-month 6GB package so I can cancel at anytime. Costs are reasonable and rollover of unused data is great.

When I called early Jan to complain about the slow speeds and timeouts, the agent said there's nothing they can do and not their fault as my connection is dependent on the MTN towers. A reset of my connection from their side did speed things up for a while. Whatsapp didnt connect and Twitter didnt load, so just used my normal cell data. Their app is also easy to use and top up data.

I'm on Voda, so another benefit when traveling is that I can take the mobile modem with and use the MTN network for data if Vodacom reception is poor.

Maybe try one of the month-to-month packages and see how it works for you. Or see if they can give you a trial account.
 
Also having Problems on my Side with the Mobile Data APN..

i have re-synced your sim card with MTN can you please restart your device and attempt to connect again

if issue persist please double check if the APN setting are set correctly or alternatively try to insert your sim card in a different device

Ticket opened again...
 
Also having issues - they reset it but doesn't seem to be connecting
