Axxess mobile data

I tried to provision a MTN prepaid sim card for mobile data with Axxess.

I kept on getting an automated replay saying my sim card could not be provisioned. So I call their call center and I was told only MTN contract SIM cards can be provisioned.

Anybody provisioned a prepaid sim with Axxess?
Anybody understand what's the rationale for only provisioning contract SIM cards?

Axxess used to do it but stopped, although old sims still work. Afrihost will still do it though.

Yeah I eventually signed up with afrihost. Still want to understand why Axxess would say no to additional business. Doesn't make sense to turn away prepaid customers

Axxess will only allow post paid sims or there own sims i also found that out the hard way

HI Ecco, unfortunately our data only works on the MTN CONTRACT SIM cards for now. Thank you
