Axxess news server

Hey guys,

I have a family member who is currently using an Axxess gig by gig account. They are switching over the uncapped with Axxess at the end of the month.

My question is what news server to use?

I am trying to show them how it works now while they are still on capped (they have 1Gb to use in a few days anyway) and have tried both the news.axxess.co.za and news.axemail.co.za news servers but am not having much joy. I get the odd spike where it downloads a tiny bit but then I get download errors.

Are these the correct news servers?
Can you use them on the capped accounts?
Are they the right ones to use for uncapped when she changes to uncapped?
And finally, what are the speeds like on these news servers?

IS news server I would say - pretty slow here. I use another paid news provider.

Rather sign up and pay for Astraweb http://www.news.astraweb.com/ IF that is the IS news server you mention you are waisting your time. I have NEVER had any luck with them.

IS news server is news.is.co.za
Try downloading a cached NZB, you'll get full speed. Latest episode of Chuck for example will be cached.

Astraweb is fine if you're on slower than 4mbit. Otherwise try supernews.

Most of you seem to be directing me to the IS news server. Does this mean that all Axxess accounts are IS accounts?

Further to this, why do they then publish those two news servers I referred to in the original post on their website? http://www.axxess.co.za/help.php

I am also not interested in paid servers. I am fully aware of their existence but as stated this is not for me personally but for someone looking at getting uncapped and I am just showing them he options. I just need to know which is the best free news server address to use.
