Axxess now also provides 4 concurrent connections

I wondered what Axxess' response would be.
 
The sad thing is that most of them haven't yet learnt the trick of ensuring competitor lock-out through differentiation - they're all playing catch-up with each other. At the end of the day they'll all offer the same thing, or risk going out of business - which is also bad for the consumer. Admittedly, differentiation is not easy and can't just be based on making a better mousetrap, but that's the mark of a successful business - choose diffferentiators that your competition can't match, even to the extent of treatment as a loss leader, and make up the margin elsewhere if you can. And there's no need to rely on intellectual property protection either, a la M$...
 
Yay, I'm really glad Axxess is also now offering the 4 concurrent connections. Now they just need to drop their prices slightly to be able to catch up to Webafrica. I notice Axxess doesn't mention if they have Dialup access, so I presume they don't. Does anyone know any different?

I have dial-up with them, but it'll cost you R85/month. I use as a contingency measure.
 
Axxess also have wireless T-Zone access for subsribers, big plus imho.

I wouldnt be bothered switching to Webafrica if I was an axxess subscriber for r7 difference. It might make a difference to a new subscriber though.

On the other hand imaginet is r30 cheaper. That might be worth the effort of switching.

I would also like to have access to a dialup account, but not prepared to pay R85/month for it when other companies are including free dialup in the ADSL offering. Unless Axxess are intending on including it in their ADSL bundles, I am going to hold off signing up with them. Pity because I was intending on signing up at the beginning of August.

I was going to first signup for the 10GB account. Webafrica are R37 cheaper than Axxess for that account. With my tight budget R37 does make a difference.

marketing ploy - it looks cheaper. Some might claim its for businesses but they'll know to remove the 14%.

I'm interested in dial-up to use when I travel and need to check my mail from my hotel. Telkom ADSL includes dial-up, so I have to make sure when I change ISP's, their offering also includes dial-up.

Understandable - I kept a r79 mweb account just for their iPass facility for international roaming. Of course now most of the hotels offer free wireless so might ditch the mweb finally.

OK well it seems all 10,20 and 30GB options come with T-Zone access.
