Axxess or Mweb Uncapped for WoW?

Hey guys, I wasn't really sure where to put this, but I suppose since it involves ISPs, this should be a valid place

I'm currently on a Mweb 512kbps Uncapped account, and my pings in WoW aren't really that great at all. My average pings are between 360 and 420 while using tunnelling. I also get mini lag spikes where my latency jumps up to 700 evry now and then.

When I was with Imaginet (IS) my pings were always between 250 and 320, and that was without tunnelling.

So the question is. Should I switch over to Axxess's offerring (which seems unshaped* and uses fibre) or stay with Mweb?

If you use less than 100gigs p/m the uncapped lite from axxess will be good for you. If you use more rather move to Openweb GOLD.

Yeah, I definitely use less than 100gb per month. So I suppose I'll move to Axxess. Do you know how the latency looks in WoW? Will the benefits make it worth switching over?
Do you mean unshaped lite? I don't think they have an uncapped lite offering.

if you use less than 17gb, then afrihost is for you, more than 17gb "abuses" their network

MWeb should be fine for WoW, I'd recommend 4mbps though if you're playing official.

The uncapped lite is the unshaped package from IS that isps resell.

Openwewb have it though. So either pop axxess a mail or move to openweb.

As far as I understand things, their satellite connection is what's causing my successive pings to range over 50ms (Like Ping1: 350ms Ping2: 410ms), and I'd prefer being on a fibre network so my pings won't range as much. It's not game-breaking, but at the same price I can't see a reason NOT to move to an IS ISP.

However, if someone can give me a reason why my ping range is so large, and a solution if possible, I'd appreciate it.
I don't understand it at all really, sometimes my instant casts activate instantly and then sometimes it can take up to a second. This is while WoW displays my latency at 360ms.

It also depends where in SA you are, as someone in Cape Town area and if WOW is your main concern (like me) I went for a ISP that uses the SAT3 cable via Fiber. If nothing is wrong anywhere i.e. a SEACOM break or worse then I get this as a latency to my wow server (Bloodhoof):

This gives me a ingame latency of between 300 and 500. In a ICC raid it's roughly 450 average. One of my fellow guildies (also Cape Town based) uses Webafrica unshaped and he swears by it.

Playing the World of tank Beta witch is a arcade-ish type of Tank Shooter/MMO I get an average latency of roughly 230. (EU Based)

I have a 384k "uncapped" and unshaped adsl account and limit my usage to about 30 gig a month so I won't get "that call".

I found that any IS accounts I used so far always has a latency of about 100ms more. (I use a 1gig Openweb platinum unshaped account as a backup.)
