I'll add my peanut to the commentary.

Just spoke to axxess, they say end of the week... bwahahha how about that one?

One thing I did seem to "confirm" with them is their 30GB Accounts. they will be 30GB INT cap. None of this 10GB INT and 30GB local cap crap.

Nope, I asked for a ballpark figure, and they say "around R700/m"

anyway, its pointless trying to sell 30GB for R2000 when you can get uncapped for R1250/m with 5x static IPs.

They've broken their promises on the press release so many times, that I have to consider this nothing more than a unsunstantiated rumour.

I will believe it when I have it in print

I am an Axxess customer, and have various "tomorrow" emails from them as well.

Well I am not phoning anymore, cos they gonna start thinking I'm stalking them or something, maybe we should take turns, who' s up next....
 
Personally I dont care. If I dont know by 25th ill be changeing to cheapest SAIX ISP, which atm is SAOL from what ive seen. It usualy only takes 1 day to set up this stuff so 6 should be ample time if the need arises. Really no point in losing sleep over it, none of the isps want to lose customers, they are doing their best in a crap situation. As far as I am concerned the problem is Telkom not the ISPs. Anyway at the end of the month for most ppl the wallet will have the last word, most ppl will go with cheapest, with prices like these who could blame them.
 
Axxess seem to have slipped somewhat in the "polls". Poor guys always seem to be in meetings. I lost a lot of faith in them when they promised to have a meeting about matching WA's R199 special offer, but they never did get back to us about that. I'm not going to run them down because they apparently do appear to offer good customer service, but they really do need to stop making promises they can't/don't keep.
 
I second that Italic, it's just I've been happy with Axxess until now and would like to be able to stick with them, but also am quite curious to find out what is going to be happening...
 
Had a natter with WA

Seems they will only have three packages in future. 3-5-10 GB

Richard gave me some prices, but I had already lost interest as I did not hear the magic words "30GB"

I remember he said R480 for 10GB

You can buy additional bandwidth for something like R60 per 1GB. You can also pay in advance for bandwith and carry it over to the next month.

I still did not hear him say anything about "30GB", I was so confused I even forgot to log a call for some changes I required .........

Bummer .......... it's no fun since Noone is gone.
 
Think we are jumping to conclusions. I mean all we have is rumors from Axxess, who themselves don't know what is happening...
