Axxess shaping on business uncapped

Anybody else with Axxess experiencing shaping on certain protocols on Axxess business uncapped. My http seems fine but all others won't go past 60KB/s - currently connected at 3Mbps.
 
old story. they introduced shaping on their business accounts last months screwing many a business customer. Many people left.
 
Yeah its been going on for about 2 to 3 weeks now...

Just wanted some input from other users on the same account before making my decisions.

Mmmm just checked...as if by magic its back to full speed - imagine that?!

Had Axxess Business Unshaped 4Mbps from July till September this year.

The way they manage the network, I am not happy with it.

Moved to WebAfrica, I can pull same amount of data without downloading 247.
 
They started it 2 months ago, and silently changed their ToS. They now use some sort of invisible rolling window period and decide what protocols you can use and can't use.

Needless to say I left, and many others have and will.

Interesting to note is Axxess and Afrihost Business have been having problems since the same time-frame, and they are actually co-owned.
 
Yip back to shaped speed again tonight...better start looking for a new deal...moving ISP's every 6 months this is getting very irritating.

Axxess-->Telkom-->Openweb-->Afrihost-->MWEB-->Openweb-->Axxess-->?

You seriously went to openweb and then went to them again? Wow.
 
For different reason - they were actually not that bad the second time round for a while until they were exposed.
 
Can someone please tell me where on Axxess's website I can see how and when this shaping is applied? It's driving me NUTS!

Why does it always have to be so complicated!

Let me guess on MWEB you used standard, instead of premium?

Any way Web Africa Business is decent.
 
Yip looking keenly at WA. MWEB was premium, was really awesome for a while and then the same story.
 
I want Afrihost freedom with line speed 100% of the time (assuming the network and my line are 100%)

Totally agree best decision I've made in my life was moving all my ****s from Afrihoax to Web Africa. Existing AF customers won't understand, but believe me once you escape and experience what internet was suppose to be like.... You can never go back.

Another Axxess Business Uncapped subscriber here, affected by their new ToS :(

It would seem WebAfrica Business would be the better option to move to?
 
yup there great

i am on the one for R999 and its great,i found the source of my problems it looks like the telephone pole box have fallen over and got wet
also the on next to it same prob,its even worce,but on google map +-2010 its not like that and in the right way so i know its not right

anyways,WA is the way to go,

if u use alot and want best all the time
the pro one will be great!!!

wish i can afford the pro,higher piority are always good
but then again on the normal one eveything just works not really needed for pro :)
