Axxess Static IP

I have a question,

If I have a 10GB capped ADSL account and I choose to add a Static IP,
I then add my 8ta SIM and 3G stick into mix via the USB plug on the Billion Router.
Should ADSL go down my Static IP will reconnect over 3G.

Now here is the Question.

If I am connected to my Static IP via 3G while ADSL is down, how is the usage counted.

I understand if I use 1gig over 3G, My 8ta bundle will be minus 1gig.

I have a 10gig ADSL account, is the Static IP service also capped.

Put it this way.

I have 10gig available on ADSL Account
I have 10gig available on 3G Account

ADSL goes down I had 8gigs left on ADSL Account, now I use 1gig while connected to 3G.

Does that mean I only have 7gigs left on my ADSL account as well (basically being billed by Axxess & 8ta at the same time as the Static IP service is connected via 3G)

Thanks

Your static IP is bound to your ADSL account, when that goes down nobody will reach the IP. You will have internet because the router will fallover to 3G but that would be a different IP

Wow, that's a mouth full! Will look into it and get back to you.

I think this is the NB part here :

Should ADSL go down my Static IP will reconnect over 3G.

This is not possible I believe.

EDIT: Unless you are getting your static IP via VPN, which in any case is not optimal

Hi,

The L2TP connection will not reconnect from a non Axxess IP, and we do not count the traffic on the L2TP tunnel.
