I had a 30 GB test account from Axxess for July - I believe sponsored by MyADSL.

What a wonderful experience not to worry about being capped!

The speeds were up to standard.

The webbased stats were easy to access.

I'm using ADSL to connect an office with about 20 users to the internet.
Mostly e-mail (often up to 10MB CAD drawings) and ssh for managing remote
servers.

The Axxess test account worked without a hitch.

A client of mine had a diginet (64k) line specially to connect to a remote site via IPSec. This client does a lot of engineering design work for a Canadian
company. The cost of the diginet line became prohibitive in view of the
stron Rand. We moved the connection with success to the Axxess ADSL
account, and in general the thorughput is much faster than a dedicated 64k diginet line. 3 Jobs saved!

Verdict: My client has moved to Axxess and I'm in the process as well.

Let us all hope that Axxess can cope with the growth I believe they should
experience.

Thanks for the feedback kaspaas. I just hope that when the new billing system comes into play we're not royally screwed by 30GB account prices going up beyond reach for the average user. Today is my first day with a 30GB account (from Web Africa). Although I don't plan on dowloading 30GB worth of stuff, it is simply wonderful to be able to do as I please without worrying about being capped. For the first time I can listen to streaming audio without a worry.

Although the account is exactly the same as the 3GB account as far as speed goes, it feels great to be rid of Telkom as my ISP. Free at last, free at last!!
