Can you believe I have only downloaded 7gigs of data and they are throttling me. They say I am above the average user so my account is been managed. That is a stupid way of managing a account. What happens if the average user is only 2 gigs for the month then I will be throttled to half my line speed the whole month. If the average user was 20gigs then I would'nt be throttled since I am only on 7gigs. Anyone else having these problems.

Here's a similar thread. Read it and make that change ;)

Let me introduce you to mweb.....

4 Reasons why I prefer OpenWeb over Mweb:

1. If you download "too much" you get nasty letters warning you to cut it out (as proven by a member on this forum who actually started a thread about it.) No nasty letters from OpenWeb warning you to stop downloading/"abusing" your UNCAPPED account. (To give you an idea, I used to easily touch on the 95GB per month mark on my old 384 line. This on a shaped uncapped account.)

2. Mweb only has one network/backbone. Do a search and read through the millions of threads about bad speeds / downtime. On OpenWeb, on the rare occasion that the network is broken, you get migrated to another. There are a number of networks to choose from, including: IS, Neology, WA, Vodacom, Altech, SAIX and more. What I'm saying is that unless all the cables to SA break at the same time, you won't notice anything. (With Mweb you'll feel the slow speeds...and will promptly start a thread on this forum complaining about said slow speeds :p )

3. I have received answers to my email queries from the CEO himself late on a Sunday evening. Their (OpenWeb's) customer service is second to none.

4. Lower contention ratios (on the gold accounts). 'nough said.

As an extra:

5. Through all the Seacom breakages since the beginning of uncapped, I have never been offline with OpenWeb. Through all the times that the mweb / afrihost people were complaining about slow speeds or no international coverage, I was always downloading full speed.

So let's recap: No nasty letters, no downtime, the best speeds on shaped uncapped account and lower contention ratios (gold account) = pure winning :D

Surprised to see that Axxess still have such retarded rules since I left them 3 years ago.
