Axxess uncapped MTN fixed LTE

It sometimes goes up to 300ms when there is a lot of people packed into town (Caravan park) but only for short periods of time. Mostly under heavy load season we get below 50ms.

This have improved a lot lately, I have to admit.

Does anyone know if there is an issue with the uncapped MTN Fixed LTE in Stellenbosch? been getting really slow speeds and cannot get the Axxess contact center on the line?

You can log a ticket outlining the problem you're experiencing, either from their app or web interface.

Someone will invariably respond, even if it's an answer that's not much, or any help.

Also, check the network status page for mobile ; currently only showing what I've previously reported to them re Telkom usage updates - but, if you report something and they agree with you, they'll then update it with your findings ... still might not help, but that's Axxess - reactive, not proactive.

Always an uphill battle with Axxess, When the service is working its awesome but any glitch hells bells customer service is out the window. SAD, There is no other options in my area at a good price. I can only dream of a better day:unsure: #afhanklik

Axxess customer "Service" is the worst. I have been having issues for the past 10 days with no/slow internet. I literally had to log the fault with MTN myself, as they just do not follow up. I reported them to the ISPA. I pay R780 per month for a service i had for the whole of 2 weeks and then all went to hell. If i get 1Mbps down i am lucky. I get disconnected at least 3 times every hour for about 5 minutes at a time. Then, they closed my support ticket because " They saw i had an active session" without READING the original ticket. Avoid them at all cost. The lack of skill and level of commitment from their technical staff is bordering on criminal. Some replies i got when using their Whatsapp facility : " We need to do a sim swop", "The GPS co-ordiantes were wrong"..lolwtf..my house has been here for over a 100 years and has not moved. "Your APN settings should not have a password"...It autofills with the dots, i do not put it there. The list is endless. Next stop is MTN and ICASA. We in the rural areas like the Karoo are being sold pipedreams and rainbows, but when it comes down to actually delivering, you suck MTN and Axxess.

I am experiencing the exact same thing with Axxess. Apparently for the Pro Package that's the case. They kill the speed totally after 6pm everyday and blame MTN. Their support team is also not helpful. It clear this is intentional as this is not the first post about such. I will also be reporting them to ISPA R780 for such is thief!

Good Day @kaizersoldier

We truly apologize for the inconvenience caused

Please send your Axxess account number as well as your contact details to [email protected] and we will contact you in order to assist with your issue.

My experience with Axxess Uncapped LTE has been good. For R349 the up to 20mbps uncapped deal is good value for money. There is a fair usage on 100GB usage, once that is reached they mentioned that you get throttled to 2mbps. However I have exceeded that usage before (by about 10-20GB) and did not pick up any throttling.
I generally use the Axxess Uncapped R349 deal between 6PM to 11PM daily at night and then 11PP - 6PM i use the Rain R250 package.

There is one problem that I have picked up on numerous occasions with Axxess LTE and that is the "INVALID PROFILE" error. You could be connected fine and working, your connections dies due to loadshedding or some other cause, when you try and reconnect you get the "INVALID PROFILE" error. This error stays there until there is some manual intervention. You either need to leave the router switched off for about a hour or manually switch between 4G network to 3G, restart router then switch back from 3G to 4G and restart the router. That seems to resolve the problem.

I have decided to cancel both my Axxess Uncapped (R349) and Rain (R250) packages and take up the Rain 5G premium service for R999 with the current promo (Buy 1 get 1 Free). I intend to share the costs with a friend so we both basically would get Rain 5G Premium for R500 a month.

I have both good Rain and MTN coverage, however that might not be the case for everyone.

@kaizersoldier do let us all know how this situation turns. As Axxess Client service is very poor.
They called me back and followed up on the situation. BUT. Apparently all the towers in the area was down last night and now the closest one to me is still down. MTN is "investigating". I logged a fault with MTN almost 2 weeks ago, and their response was " it is with our technicians" Axxess came to the party in the sense they are following up with me, but MTN apparently has a technician shortage or their technical teams got lost. I will gladly offer my company's services to maintain these towers if it means i can have a stable reliable connection. But i'm guessing the contractors were appointed based on their status and not their ability to perform and to actually deliver what they are paid to do.

So 8 months later still complaining. Logged a fault with MTN, Axxess care to explain? Looking at the signal values and the reference table, clearly something is causing interference, intentional or not. Yet neither Axxess nor MTN seems to bother to come look?
If you think a network operator is dispatching a tech to look at a tower, that serves hundreds if not thousands of other people, because of one customer complaining, you need to move to another planet.

@Captain Axxess

My speeds have been horrible for the past few days. Contacted support who did a sim reset with no improvement.

Download about 1.5mbps
Upload goes to about 25mbps

These are constant throughout the day and are not related to peak times or load shedding.

Both seem to be restricted as they go up to these speeds and stay almost exactly there.

Please help.
