AXXESS VS AFRIHOST

hope I'm posting this in the right place! I currently use Afrihost data for my tablet but see that with Axxess your data rolls over for 3 months so thinking of changing to them. Anyone with Axxess? Any problems?

They are sister companies. They use the same backend for DSL and Fiber purposes. The mobile APNs are still with MTN so you shouldn't have any problems.

Been using them for 6 months plus. Data rollover works 100%, and one can also easily upgrade or downgrade if need be.

The deal breaker for me was that Afrihost charged for SIM delivery, Axxess is free

One complaint I have about Axxess Mobile (I think this can happen with Afrihost as well) is if you leave your SIM dormant for a few weeks it gets "capped" early. You have to contact them to correct the issue.

You don't lose any data or anything, you just can't use it until they sort it out for you.

The fact that they use the same infrastructure doesn't necessarily mean their network performance is comparable. I assume they manage their bandwidth individually, and it's how an ISP does that (and whether or not they're oversubscribed for their total bandwidth) that will largely determine how good performance is.

Yep. Afrihost has their own system called Mojo, and Axxess had theirs called Bob.

Both run on the same "network" but it's the equivalent of everyone breathing the same air. It'll have a macro affect on things but from person to person the differences can be huge. Same with networks.
