I've found it difficult to trust Axxess (Afrihost) after a dreadful experience on their ADSL (MTN) accounts.
However, thought I would give it another go with my FTTH 100MBPS (OpenServe) connection and their "NEW" network.
In the past I've used VOX TELECOM on my 10MBPS ADSL and the performance was excellent.
My experience with Axxess and fibre was disappointing from the start. After seeing people on here were able to use their Fatpipe accounts on Fibre - I tried the same and it once again proved how dreadful the Axxess network is and why VOX will remain my ISP of choice:
5AM - International download on Axxess, 100MBPS FTTH
5AM - International download on VOX FATPIPE, 100MBPS FTTH

Also, applying through Axxess (OpenServe) was a horrible experience. They dont provide you with a reference number and it's impossible to follow up the progress of the installation. I phoned and spoke to their "LINES" department who consistently told me to wait. Eventually they supplied the Telkom reference number and I took matters into my own hands. Telkom was great. There's really NO EXTRA value in using Axxess for your Telkom fibre to home - the service is dreadful like their network.
Just my 2cents. Thanks VOX for giving us a great network although you dont officially support FTTH FAT PIPE products :crylaugh:
