Does anyone have prior experience with hosting Websites with Axxess?

I have recently opened an account with them, and have been trying to get a domain transferred to their servers for the last week or so, but as yet nothing happened.

I am also hosting a few .com domains with international hosting providers, and whenever I request a domain to be transferred, it gets done within 48 hours max.

After a week I am still battling to get a .co.za domain transferred to Axxess. I also get the feeling they only read their email once in the mornings, because I never get an answer if I email them after lunch time.

I did not find their support to be fast enough either, and dropped them after one month.
Also, their hosting is not even local, so I don't quite understand how it can be so expensive.

My site is hosted with Axxess and so far its been pretty fine, if I have an issue and phone their 0861 300 900 line I ask for hosting and it takes a few minutes to get any issue sorted. As for transfer of domain name, the domain name transfer for my site only took about a day or so.

Dont email them, phone them and they can help you immediately.

For the transfer though you do know that you have to get all the people to agree to the transfer with the transfer request email they send. Im sure you know this, but for instance, all those emails would go to axxess with the way we transfered over to them. (not sure if its quite a good or bad thing) Is somebody not maybe disagreeing to the transfer request and declining it?

The issue has more or less been resolved.

Seems like Uniforum was behind with the updates this month, so the domain was still indicated as being in 'unpaid' status.

They fixed this very quickly once I pointed it out to them.

RR, why exactly is this your problem?
Why did Axxess not point that out to you immediately?
i.e. Why accept less than the best service levels?

hmmm. ive heard the excuse that Uniforum have not updated their billing system when in fact the ISP responsible was to blame for not paying.
