Can u believe the following..........I got my telkom land line on 28 Dec 2011. I then applied for my ADSL line by axxess on 30 Dec 2011. On 12 Jan 2012 I phoned, just to en quire aout the progress. I was told that MAYBE telkom haven't got a point at the enchange for my line, and that I'm going to wait for someone either to cancel their service, or move out of the town!! Okay, let's wait I thought........Well, on 15 Jan 2012, R249 was deducted from MY bank account, +$#X s..t, I DON'T even HAVE a ADSL line, crying out loud!! I send and phone mail, no answer as from today? What can I do people. Will TELKOM maybe help me faster or must I wait, can I get my money back or are they going to deduct it from the first bill etc.... TALK about service:confused:

PS:Is there a Axxess guy in HERE for help. I always see the M-WEB guy etc here????
 
Rule #1 when applying for a line with Telkom: wait until they confirm you have a line; only then make the move to subscribe to an ISP. I waited 6 months to get a line for the first time!
 
Apply for DSL line from Telkom, don't use ISP's. And when you do apply, go to your nearest Telkom Shop and explain exactly what you want. And don't move your line, although it's like R20 cheaper at an ISP, it's not worth the hassle.
