Hey guys n girls i recently run into brick wall, i love playing this game million fun maps etc etc, but now it wants me to patch, so i let it, but now it wont let me it gets to the worleditor.exe and says it cannot patch, which is bummer i tryed allot things, an my version is genuin, i would do whole uninstall thing etc etc, main problem been, i only got my War3 cd, not frozen throne, (lol long story) but basically i need help here, can someone who has installed patch like just host file somewhere for me to get, would be really helpful, or even someone who know how to skip that worldeditor thing(nvr used it =)) so pls help
 
I'm sure its a legit version (sarcasm) that you installed a no-cd for...that is your problem. Get the files off the warez site where you got the no-cd in the first place :)
 
um no serouse i do have it, it seams my one is corrupt, plus i been playing on offical servers, (lol lil we ya slow on 3g) but still fun, =)
 
I have patched wth legit patches and I am currently running a cracked version. And no, I'm not bragging about having a cracked version, I have the original but I have a PC and a laptop, so occassionally when I don't have access tomy PC and feel like a game, then I have the laptop to play on.

WRT to opening post - what patch version do you currently have and what are you trying to patch to? I ask for the simple reason that you could be trying to patch to a new version without having an older version already installed.

Also, visit the war3.co.za forums www.war3.co.za/forum/ as they have a guide on how to patch and what could be wrong when patching, etc, etc...
 
The current version of Warcraft3 doesn't require a cd to play...The same goes for Starcraft

Might as well play on the local server where there's no delay.
 
the latest version of the patch removes the need for a cd key.
i have both the legit version and a non legit one (that i used to use until the patch) and must say that its all legal now with no cd!
