B315 vs B618 vs MR200 vs MR400

Just a few questions:

All the ISP market the B315 as their first option for LTE-A. Why do you say it doesn’t support it?

Also, why do you say the MR400 doesn’t support? Here are the specs for the MR400. Isn’t 2600 the LTE-A band?

4G: FDD-LTE B1/B3/B7/B8/B20 (2100/1800/2600/900/800MHz)
TDD-LTE B38/B39/B40/B41 (2600/1900/2300/2500MHz)
3G: DC-HSPA+/HSPA+/HSPA/UMTS B1/B8 (2100/900MHz)
2G: EDGE/GPRS/GSM Quad Band (850/900/1800/1900MHz)
 
B315 ain't LTE-A. LTE-A is dual bands at the same time, so ideally it would be 1800 and 2600 for Rain but the router can not do it.
 
Basically the router needs to have a minimum of 2CA (2 carrier aggregation) to be LTE-A. The B618 can do carrier aggregation but does not support carrier aggregation between band 3 and band 38 so even if you get the B618 you will never see LTE-A on Rain EVER unless they open their network again to all devices.

These are the supported lists:

Huawei B315
Huawei B618
Huawei B2338 (Outdoor)
ZTE MF253
ZTE MF283+
ZTE MF286

No other device works on Rain I have tested. Some of the supports carrier aggregation in some form but none of them according to my research and I have spend a lot of time search supports band 3 and band 38 aggregation which means NO LTE-A for anyone on Rain.

Before the network lock my Samsung S8 was aggregating band 3 and 38 so I know that is how they do LTE-A on their network.
 
The biggest difference from the user's perspective is that you'll be able to get up to 60Mbps with the 618 vs the 30Mbps with the 315. This might be a mute point if you are in an area that is over-subscribed, but luckily in my area I get the 60Mbps on the Rain network.

Well not really. If you use a B315 that supports TDD Band 38 then it should perform exactly as the B618 Rain supplies.
 
options for a lot of LTE or LTE-A data? they switched me from 100GB "early connect" to 20gb wtf.. and no emails at all.

I just found out when I saw the Afrihost msg saying my data is depleted. (but I don't have a username/pass to check anything)
