B970 on Top Up 315 package.

Hi All,

I know it was previously discussed.
Just want to get correct information.
Can I convert the Top Up package R315.00 into data package?
I spoke to Vodacom Shops and Vodacom at Vodacom Park.
They say I can be done. If the bundle is depleted I can still top-up whenever I require.
Comment please.

Yes, quite a few of us have done it on Top Up 400. 400 makes more sense though with 2GB at R389

Confirmed. U may use the airtime you receive every month to purchase the data bundle of choice via either www.vodacom4me.co.za or *111# Once depleted you can recharge with airtime voucher or ATM and purchase another data bundle.

I took the Topup 315 package and the B970.
The advantage is that you can save up your airtime up to 5 months total and convert it to data as you need it. The up to 60 days data rollover applies, so the deal is to convert at the start of a month. I normally use about 1 - 2 gb per month. So in the beginning I simply paid in the difference to buy a 2gb bundle, and subsequenly found this lasts me 60 days. So I have a hefty airtime balance to call on when I need it.
Some of this I transfer to my Iphone and convert to data.
On a 2 gb bundle the data costs about 19c per mb.
BTW. The B970 is fantastic!
