Good Morning guys and girls

I am best man for my brothers wedding at the end of the month. So that of course entails me organizing the bachelors party.
The wedding will be on a wine estate close to Paarl.
My brother is a very laidback easy going fellow, he enjoys his wine but is definately not a big clubber or party animal. So one of my ideas for it was to have like a wine tasting with some platters of nice food at a wine estate in the Stellenbosch region (where most of the guests will be staying).

Does anyone from that area have any suggestion or thoughts on this idea?

Also what are your thoughts on paying for a bachelors? I was thinking of asking each guest a fixed amount per person to cover the costs.

Any advice would be much appreciated

Rent out a smallish mansion in cape town - theyre not too expensive if youre splitting it over 10 people for a weekend and hit mavericks!

I always think a bachelors should be an entire wknd affair.
I am not a fan of making the bachelor dress up and beg for money etc in front of strangers...
he most certainly will do forfeits the whole wknd, but amongst his friends...
The wine thing sounds ...ok.....but not great TBH....
possibly go away for a wknd, do some paintball/karting, maybe some camping etc etc

edit/ as for paying, i think its fair to offer a fixed price...as best man i would prob throw in a few k extra

Don't forget the Strippers! Maybe get a big cake with a stripper or two inside:D

I asked my g/f about this recently, she had no issues with strippers at clubs...she had an issue if the stripper came to a private house party etc....i kinda agree

Bachelor party = Strippers

Bachelor party <> Wine Tasting

Wine Tasting Bachelor party = epic fail

Different strokes for different folks, I guess. Good luck mate, you have been bestowed with the greatest responsibility a brother can ever have...use it wisely!

Have Fun

Weekend away with some golf, fishing & lots of beer. Then you can have a second one a week or so before the wedding where you hit a strip joint but the weekend away is much more enjoyable.
