well I finaly had my first run in with telkom, my adsl line has been in only 2 months now and have experienced my first 8 day outage due to a damaged port on their side..... :sick:
its amazing the cr@p they say, firstly it was cable theft (normal phone still working and neighbors adsl still working)
then its damaged line, then its my equipment thats faulty (tested at my friends house to ensure its ok) then finaly this tuesday they admitted its their problem but only got it up and running two days later.

service was friendly as usual but technical backup realy crappy and slow.


we need more competition in SA :rolleyes:

make sure,, u speak to one person and one person only at telkom,,, makes it alot easier, and you dont get to hear all those stories
 
had the same story when we got our adsl and all because of a shot port. took them also a week or 2 to find that out and i lost a few work days in the process.
