Hi, every body. Yesterday, I tried to install Mac os x in disk F in my dell pc but I failed. After I reentered Windows 7, I found my disk F and disk E were both turned into raw format and the label E and F all gone. I have many files in disk E about 150 G and I tried to get my files back by using easyrecovery. When it finished searching, it has been in "Building tree..." status for more than 24 hours. It seems it will never end. I want to know how long it will need to finish.
And do you have other good softwares to recommend, thanks a lot.

It sounds like Mac OS has change the file system on the drive.

Have you tried accessing the drive's with Partition Magic?

Be careful with your data, if you are not familiar with partitions and file systems, rather take it to someone that knows them.

Thanks for your suggestion. It is a one-T sata disk. I dare not to format the lost disks and use partition magic. I live in a small island and cann't find experts to help me regain my data here. I think I know a little bit of windows system, so any software suggestion will definitely be appreciated. I use acronis disk director suite to check my disks. I find two very small hidden disk partions before and after partition F, with size of about 1.5 MB to 2 MB seperately. I really don't know when I created them.

Another question is if I try easyrecovery and magic recovery professional, will these softwares change my original data? I am really afraid of losing my files.

I get partition magic. Can you tell me how to fix the partition, many thanks.

Set your lost drives filesystem flag back to ntfs, typically do this with Linux fdisk**

**not the same as that old PoS ms-dos program

Thank you, Drake2007. Do you mean changing the lost drivers filesystem into ntfs in Linus system will be enough?
