backlit Keyboard search!

Well I have a Razer Lycosa which is an amazing Keyboard and the backlit keys
are really nice especially the in game wasd keys.

What I’m really looking for now is a KB that has backlit keys for in game use
that can be customised, let’s face it, playing in the dark really adds to the
atmosphere of a game, just keep wanting to grab a sneak peek at the rest
of the in game keys when I lose my place.

Anyone know of a keyboard that can do this?

Thanks guys but do they keys on the G11 and the MX6 light up to show the in game keys as you play? and are the KB's able to read if in game keys are changed and light
up the appropriate keys?

I wasn't aware either the G11 or the X6 allows you to customize the back lights on the keys? Maybe I am wrong but I know my G15 can't do this.

Grimspoon ... thats kinda what im looking for, to be able to have all the in game keys light up not just the usual WASD keys, for the most of it when ur in game and change
profile or character wud love for the KB to follow suit so diff keys light up to show all active keys.

really looking hard for something like that but no1 seems to have anything like that just the standard WASD keys that light up in game and some macro keys

Both the keyboards listed light up all the keys. But to get only certain groups of keys to light up depedning on the active application I have not heard of before.

What about that Razer keyboard for Starcraft 2?

I read in the brochure I got at the midnight launch that the certain keys change colour based on which ones you use frequently and even flash a different colour if your base is under attack, zerg rush etc. ?

The X6 might have a lot of functions but it is seriously ugly IMHO.

Hmm the G19 and 15 are both to bulky and huge .... the new G110 looks kewl but no keyboard out there actually lights up all in game keys which is really sad :{
and how much brain power would it take to code that little bit extra just to read in game keys or even just load a profile that lets u light up all ur in game keys
for diff games ...

seriously .... logitech or microsoft havent thought of that yet!!!???

The G15 is far from huge or bulky. You actually ever seen one?

Well in all honesty it sounds like a nice to have, but in all reality adds zero benefit and probably adds more to the price tag which is unnecessary IMO.

I suspect they dont do it because many games use almost all the keys so most of the keys would be lit anyway. And placing an LED underneath each and every key makes it a bit power hungry, so unless it runs off USB3 it wouldnt get enough juice to run. Plenty of good reasons not to make such a keyboard actually.

and hence a increase in costs.

now u guys are just breaking my heart!!! i'd love the option though and having archer makes a good point it would kinda be power hungry but nothing
any std gaming rig wont be able to deal with and extra usb added wont kill the machine but i suppose yeah i do kinda sound like a winey kid wanting
