Backup Internet connection during prolonged outages

Doing a bit of contingency planning and was wondering in the event of severe load shedding stage 10+ or regional outage for several days, assuming traditional fiber and mobile networks become unavailable, would satellite connectivity be a viable alternative.

Are there any other alternatives to cope with such a situation?

Appreciate any thoughts.

lol in stage 10 and such a prolonged outage there wont be internet your service provider will be down as well.

whatever is on the ground speaking to the satellite would still need to work...

assuming the actual sites had backup power facilities(solar/batteries/generators)..... would entry level services like eutelsat or yahclick offered by VOX for example be an option or would it require bigger players in the space?
