Backup options

What would be the best backup options for the home? This would be music, photo and movie collections collected over a number of years and now reaching 15-20 TB.

Optical media wont work while online backup would be expensive and take forever to upload.
Ive been looking at tape drives but the costs involved are high.....it seems more of an enterprise solution.

Does anyone offer this as a service - for personal use?

Any suggestions or would good old RAID still be the best option?

NAS hidden away somewhere where burglars won't look. Backup software that writes to it.

Unless a fire takes your house out.

But yes, if your threat model is theft, a hidden NAS is not a terrible idea. It won't do anything for lightning strikes, though.

LTO tapes are not too expensive, but man! the drives are pricey!
