Ok i am very new to the world of scripting and linux and need some help.
I have a linux box running an accounting package which dumps its backups onto its harddrive. There is a domain controller running win2003 which has the tape drive in it and that does the backups every night. What i need is to get the backups made by the linux box to dump onto a folder on the main server before it does the backup. Now can a script help me or can i make a mapped nextwork drive from the windows server to the linux server and just backup that network drive? It would be better (imo) to make a copy of the backup from the linux server to the main server so there is a copy on both as well as the nightly tapebackup.
thanks in advance for any help
