Man this game is seriously buggy. I have reached the part where the chopper is shot down in the jungle. I have met up with the entire squad again, and we now need to rescue the pilot. We're on a ledge overlooking the enemy camp, there is a path leading off to the left and one leading off to the right (straight ahead is a steep drop off), but no matter which way I go I get the "you are leaving the combat area" message and have 10 seconds to turn around.
I can snipe all the enemy in the camp but still cannot find a way to progress. What am I missing or what do I need to be doing?
 
That happens if your squad is just standing there and doing nothing or they blink away. you going to have to reload a few times and see if they don't move. If you have just updated that could be the problem and you have to start from the beginning.
 
The game updated for me last night, I had to load at the previous checkpoint because it would load and the second I move the game exited to desktop.
Cool game tho, so I don't mind playing a bit f it again.
 
Hmm.....I think the buggy-ness makes it rather uncool. It did update last night, but I played some sp after the update, and think I did get past one or two other save points. Maybe it's only at major checkpoints!?
 
Yeah normal is fine don't really like playing hard it takes a lot of fun out of games, but for those who like a moerse challenge hard is the way to go.

What worked for me was to go to the box and choose a different weapon.
