Hi guys!

Some background information & setup:

PBX Server ~ sipxecs-4.6.0
VOIP Gateway Router ~ Patton Smartnode 4524
2 PSTN lines connected to FXO 0/0 & 0/1

I have set up the pbx server, configured users, extensions etc. I am able to make internal calls. I have configured (not sure correctly now) the patton smartnode 4524. When trying to make an external call, i get an error on the phone saying bad gateway: (telephone number).

Any idea why this is happening? What am I doing wrong?

Thanks for you help and idea's !

Cliff

I presume you are getting a 502 bad gateway, this means that whatever you sending the Patton, it does not like it !
The process is as follows, the Sipxecs sends and 'inivite' to the Patton, this invite contains the session description protocol and if all is well you get 100 trying, 180 ringing ect, 502 bad gateway means the Patton is rejecting the invite, so you have a set up problem.
If you can get a SIP trace from the Sipxecs and post it here, we may be able to see what is being sent in the invite and assist you.
