Hey,

my upgrade always seems to do this to me. I feel it is a bad time to upgrade.

Would either want to get the Note 4, S5 or Z3 at the moment but I hear rumours that the next gen is coming up relatively soon.

What would you do?

Even if something new got announced today it would take months to come out, then even more months to get to ZA.

S5 is old.

Note4 is nice, but crap speaker placement. I say go Z3.

Thanks for the reply.

Yeah stupid contract upgrade period. Always too early or too late depending on how you look at it.

The Z3 does look like something special.

Make peace with the fact that during your contract there will be at least 2-3 iterations of the same handset, and you will look at your "old" phone wondering how many months left till upgrade.

The Only Thing That Is Constant Is Change.
With that in mind, why look at what could come.
There will always be something else or a newer model coming.

Take whatever you see at MWC 2015 and add on another two months to see any of those products locally. If you want to know about when the Z4 is coming out, Sony is still going on with their 6-month rolling cascade. So look for the launch date for the Z3, add on 6-8 months and that'll give you a rough idea of when the next flagship will arrive (May 2015 by that estimate). Already there are people from Samsung and Nokia saying that they're looking forward to the new Snapdragon 810 chips launching in phones this quarter.
