Lance being 2-0 up is nothing lol, not when your playing Africa's number 1 team.

I think in cricket and rugby we have a chance against the top teams but only blind supporter would think we could beat brazil, argentina etc, so while i applaud your patriotism at some point in life you have to realistic.

How many Bangladeshis think they win the test in South africa? nobody and why because they are REALISTIC :p

So 6-3 should still be reason to celebrate? ;)

That would mean we scored three goals against Africa's best! Yip, that is how a patriot thinks!

Well it would be progress from losing to crap teams.

It's not how a patriot thinks, its how a realist thinks. If they can hold cameroon to a draw it would be an amazing result and very promising, if they lose 3-2 even that would be great as it shows progress. Cameroon would never try and hit 6 past them as its the mandela cup and they don't want to make a mockery of us. so i reckon the 2-2 is on :p

killadoob it is not unrealistic to think SA can beat Cameroon!

This realist argument is really not that strong an argument. At the end of the day we all know that in sport any result is possible... so a true realist would not be surprised by any result. Realistically any team that walks on to a sports field CAN win.... unless of course the game is rigged! :)

Heheh no for sure lance, i look at life as black and white though, i don't tend to think something unless it can happen and we can beat cameroon on our day but world cup hopes and all that i cannot even put south africa winning a world cup in my train of thought, just getting through the group stage will be a miracle and i hope they rig it and put us in the weakest group.

If you guys watched pienaar against middles borough you can see he is not match ready. He cannot play a full game yet. Looked a glimmer of the legend for everton of last season.

sorry guys if this is a stupid question and i am not refering to this game but can you substitute a goalkeeper in soccer and i don't mean if the guy is injured or anything but like if the guy has let in a few balls in the ist half or something. i am not a soccer fan but am just wondering if they do that sometimes.

It is possible.. and sometimes does happen!! I remember watching a friendly, where two random all star teams played against each other for charity! The one 'keeper had to be somewhere so he played the first 5 minutes and then they substituted him and he left!!

I don't watch English soccer (football is a generic term for any ball sport - American FOOTBALL, Aussie Rules FOOTBALL, rugby FOOTBALL... :) ) because the quality of the soccer sucks... and it is not African! ;)

The truth is I really am not a soccer fan but enjoy watching SA play any sport... yes, yes I know a silly patriot! :) I have no ties to any English team as I was not born there and do not live there so do not see the point... but that is a whole different argument! :)

I'm a Durban boy, so Amazulu or Royal Zulu of course! :) ;)

As stated in the small print Killa, I am not a soccer fan but enjoy watching SA compete in any sport. So when Bafana play soccer, I watch and support.

3-2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
