Hi all.
I haven't been active here lately - been studying, so I'm not current with things on Iburst.
For some time I have been buying a Bandwidth Booster and it has lasted till the end of the following month. Now over the weekend I came back here (because I was having problems connecting) and a post I noticed in passing has me questioning things.
Do these Bandwidth Boosters now quit after 30 days? And since when? How ab out some warning?

On the Iburst webpage I see it says that "# ADSL and Wireless customers: Unused bandwidth booster data now expires 30 days from date of purchase.

# HSDPA customers: Unused bandwidth booster data is now valid for 60 days."
I'm not sure which of these the old-fashioned Iburst counts as, so I am confused - am I now going to lose the bandwidth I just bought (expecting it to last longer)??????
And why is this happening - to force us to buy HSDPA instead??? I am VERY unhappy about this!!!!!

The good news is that your package has been doubled.

Eg. 1GB is now 2GB. So there's no need for you to buy more data.

If you do buy data, it costs now R69 for 1GB.

A 1000MB goes pretty quickly within 30 days, unless you just check email.

My pakage is Freeflo - only 10 Mb.included. I rely on bandwidth boosters. It cost R199 when I bought it on 1st...

I think FreeFlo users have been moved to the pre-paid system... perhaps you want to contact them to confirm however.

I am a FreeFlow user and still on the FreeFlow package. The help desk can't give me a answer to what is going to happen with my account if they migrate me automatically. The only thing that the person was willing to say was that I will be "upgraded" (Sales talk) to one of the packages.

Gcebile Rakharebe I dare you to tell us what is going to happen to FreeFlow package with automatic migration.

So iBurst is effectively in breach of the contract that I signed, which stipulated that I'd get throttled, but not capped speeds when my bandwidth runs out.

Thanks iBurst. 3 months gives me just enough time to apply for ADSL. You have ZERO competitive edge over anybody now.
