hi guys am presently using telkom as my isp and am paying like R289.00 for
3 gb a month is there another way as to me purchasing extra bandwidth from other isp's at reasonable prices without having to change isp would appreciate your assistance

Extra bandwitdth, or extra data allowance? Unfortunately Telkom is the only company with fixed line connections in SA at the moment - so bandwidth-wise you're stuck with them. If you simply need more data alloance per month you can get it at R60/GB/month from Axxess or R70/GB rollover from WebAfrica

Of course, u just need to 1) if u using a router, change the passwords and username, or 2) if u using bridge mode(like dial-up type), add in an extra account.

But it all depends on what u gonna use ur extra data for.

Just for email and surfing, think prepaid data would be fine.
I personally got 3 accounts, 1x telkom 2gig as international, 1x 10gig local from webafrica for local stuff, and 1x webafrica prepaid for emergency international use

Monthly for data I only pay R220...the prepaid has been there for like 3 months now....I havent yet reached my caps since I had this setup
