Bandwidth Sharing Question

Hi,

I would like to know with mywireless can you use the same account at work and at home simultaneously? Think ADSL has this option which supports multiple users and automatically shares the bandwidth.

Of course then you would need 2 modems

Hmm my problem with this idea is on the IP side of things.

I'm assuming IP's are given out depending on the PPPoE login. Now, seeing as a person has a static IP, you cant have the same static IP at both ends.

my opinion, if you have two pc's, with one modem setup on both of them, and take the modem along (work-&gt;home-&gt;work etc) you won't have a problem with the static ip seeing as you'd only be connected once in any case.

if you're on the same network, only one pc needs to be connected, it's easy as pie setting up a proxy server to route traffic through the other pc to connect to the internet. thats why you have proggies like wingate

If Sentech are using SIM cards for authentication (which the IPWireless modems support, and it makes sense) then obviously this would be impossible.

I have a similar question:

If I connect a WiFi Router/AP to the Sentech modem, I assume I will be able to share the internet connection with all pcs or laptops in the router's range. Right?

But will there be any interference or clashes between the Sentech signals and the WiFi signals, since they operate on similar frequencies, or should this not be a problem?

Or what if I have a Sentech PCMCIA modem and a normal WiFi PCMCIA card sitting right next to each other on the same laptop. Will that be a problem?
