Banks increasing minimum amounts in accounts without notification.

I bank with Standard Bank and I have just noticed that the amount I have available in my Cheque account is R 1000 less than the balance. The last time I checked the minimum was R 50. A similar thing with my wife's ABSA account except the minimum balance has been increased to R 1,500. I don't recall any correspondence about this and I generally read the fine print.

Has anyone else noticed this?

Capitec is like R25 currently I think? They also never notify about it going up.
