How's that Barcelona penalty against Celta Vigo on Sunday night?
Never seen that before.

Surprised it took 'till now for someone to post this... Did laugh at Neymar 'tho, claiming the pass was for him 'cos they practiced it.. Suarez was on a hat trick and, for me at least, that wins out.

Dafuq - had no idea that you could do that

It's a spot kit so as soon as the pen taker kicks it the ball is live. Rebounds of the keeper and posts are fair game. The only provision is that no player other than keeper and taker are allowed to enter the box before the ball is kicked.

Iirc Pires and Henry tried something similar and cocked it up.

Saw a tweet somewhere that if Man United were to try this Rooney would pass to Martial, who would pass to Carrick, who would pass to Smalling, who would pass it back to De Gea....

And I'm a Man United fan.

It seems a bit disrespectful... Sure they are one of the best teams in the world at the moment, but you don't have to do stuff like that.
Suarez should have just taken the penalty to get his hatrick

So this way Messi gets an assist and Saurez gets a goal.

Does the person who wins the penanlty get credited with an assist?

Doubt it, but Messi won the pen so makes no difference in this instance :)

How is it disrespectful? Its clever thinking and frankly if the defenders were awake they have a better chance of stopping it if its passed before shot then when someone shoots directly from a pen.

It's got a little bit of a Harlem Globetrotters feel to it, no? If you were serious about the opposition you wouldn't be doing stuff like that.

The second part of your post also supports that it's showing off...why reduce your chances of getting a goal by passing the ball?

Still pretty awesome though but I would definitely feel insulted if they pulled that against a team I support.
