iam also in the Cape town/ Landsdowne area and for the last 3 days . my signal strength , which is usually between 95 and 100 % has dropped to between 0 and 30% .even with the use of an outside antenna regular surfing has slowed to dial up speed and slower , i've called up tech support with no luck
i realize it might be the weather, but this started before the bad weather kicked in ......

I'm also having problems like these on some particular DSL lines in Stellenbosch and it's very, very frustrating. The connection drops and after a few minutes it will re-establish. Telkom denies that it's their fault, of course.

I am in the Lansdowne area in Cape Town as well. Same problem, went from a 90% connection to 30-40% over the last few days.

i contacted them via there facebook page , and this is the response i got .......''In a bid to increase our capacity and coverage area we had to make certain upgrades to our base station in Cape Town. This resulted in a small amount of individuals being affected. Our network team will be in contact with you in order to assist. Thanks.''
iam still waiting so we'll see what happens ... lol

Yeah, will wait and see what happens. Had a few days where signal was fine and then went back to 40-60% again.
