Does anyone sell basic ADSL (or VDSL) modems anymore?

I've just lost my 3rd modem (in a year) to lightning this afternoon. I'm now down to the bottom of the barrel of old routers that I had and I now need to actually go out and buy something. :(

I really have no need for a modem/router/wifi combo. I have a decent Mikrotik handling the routing side of things and a bunch of APs around the house for wifi.

I just need a simple, cheap, no-frills bridge modem.

Does anyone know where to get one of these locally? I can't find them on any of the online shops I frequent and I have not seen them in brick-n-mortar shops for years.

Is this one? I have no idea what it does.

Some items also qualify for MyBB member special prices.
Had forgotten about DBG. I think that I might even still have an account there. Looks like they're selling the same unit as Takealot for a couple of bucks more but even with a dealer discount it probably doesn't quite make up for the cost of travelling to collect.

Will most likely go for the Takealot deal but I'm still surprised that there are so few options.

Dlink's DSL 2500u is probably the best modem for what you're trying to do, IMO. I use it with my Mikrotik and it works better than most other routers on all lines I've thrown at it. It's not VDSL but for the price, it's a good choice if lightning is a common problem for you. Edit: i see they are harder to come by these days, and the price has gone up. I paid R150 each for like 4 of them about 2 years ago. Check gumtree though - nothing wrong with buying an ADSL modem secondhand, I've done this a few times with great success. I've tried the simple 1-port TPLink and Tenda routers, and while they come close and have similar UI's and functionality, I find that the Dlink does have the slight edge in terms of stability and even attainable rate
