:)I have an old family friend in her 70's who has a laptop an Vodacom 3G connection.
She is absolutely petrified of it and urgently needs assistance in the basics of email and Skype.
Does anyone out there now of any courses in the Sandton area which she attend or any reliable person who will give one on one lessons at her home? Her children and grandchildren live in Cape Town.
I live in PE and am unable to assist her.
Thanks in advance to anyone replying. My apologies if this is the wrong forum

The U3A - a 'club' for retirees - lists the following:

COMPUTER CLASSES - Mwashata Mbodza -
Friday 1.30p.m. – R50 per month –
St John’s Evangelical Church, Benmore
074 429 5479/011 783 1033 (church number)

Benmore is in Sandton, so it might be worth a telephone call.

I'd suggest to her she also get a Cell C SIM to either try using in the Voda. dongle, or a Cell C dongle with SIM as their rates for prepaid are better than Voda's.

This, assuming she's not on a Voda. contract already - in which case, I'd warn her of the OOB rates which she should be more petrified of !
