How are the games so much cheaper on G2A?
And has anyone had any issues from them?
Never heard about them till just now.
G2A is a marketplace. They just connect sellers with buyers, and for this reason they offer G2A Shield to protect buyers against non-working keys. Never make a purchase on G2A without G2A Shield. I pay around a dollar a month for the Shield subscription, which works out much cheaper than paying a dollar on every transaction.
There have been incidences of stolen keys being sold on G2A, but such things happen once in a blue moon and you're covered anyway if you have G2A Shield. The prices are low simply because it is possible to acquire games cheaply under certain circumstances. Many keys come from Humble Bundles, were intended to be included with graphics cards, or from a part of the world that uses global keys but has very cheap retail prices etc. For example, Watch Dogs can be bought for around $2 thanks to it being included with almost all Nvidia graphics cards for many months. And Magicka was around $1 for a while because it was in a Humble Bundle.
I buy most of my games on G2A. I've only ever had one non-working key, and I received a refund thanks to G2A Shield. Make sure you pay with PayPal, as the transaction fee is only $0.57. And make sure you check out the weekend and midweek sales that G2A runs, as they usually have some insane prices.
Because G2A allows consumers to abuse the promotions within the gaming industry, the big players like Steam, Origin, Ubisoft etc. hate G2A and don't allow G2A discussions in their forums. They label G2A a 'grey market' to try dissuade people from buying there.
