A bunch of hackers have unlocked all the weapons for the Battlefield 2 players to use, because EA wouldn't give them the time of day when they warned them about 'security holes'.

"Well, what a wonderful few days it has been. Since EA didn't take the time to respond (or maybe even read) our emails about various stats-server security holes, it clearly showed us how much they care. Therefore, we came to the conclusion that modifying 5 million accounts wouldn't be that big of a deal."

For once I'm on EA's side, these are just attention whores. The Internet is full of them, only not many are as skilful at hacking.

Here's EA's response:

"In the future, if you really are concerned about "exposing security holes" to EA (which I sincerely doubt) rather than grandstanding, please e-mail me personally since it appears that you don't have the correct contact info. I will PM you the address.

All of the changes made will be rolled back in the next couple hours. Users may have to rechoose any unlocks they would have legitimately made in the last day or so as a result of the roll-back, but no stats should be lost."

Haha, I was one of those 5million users :D

Tried out all the guns except the support gun. Now I know which weapon I wanna unlock next :p

I only use special forces weaponry, unless i get bored, then i sit and snipe for a while.

We've discovered that the c4 pack the special forces guys use can be attached to tanks as well. Takes them out quick-quick

I must say though, i never play on-line, only lan games and there all the weapons are available. There are 2 co-op patches out and they work like a charm.
