I currently have a CTEK 12v lead acid battery charger that I would like to use to charge / condition the 2x12v batteries used for my Mecer inverter setup. I have gotten the impression that the charger in the Mecer inverter is not optimal for batteries while I know the CTEK is pretty good.
Is there an easy / cheapish way to convert the 12v charging current to 24v so that I can leave the charger connected without having to disconnect the "bridging" cable between the two batteries? I know that the current will be split (so 7A will become 3.5A) but is there anything else that might cause issues like e.g. uneven charging?
