I dunno if this has been talking about? If it has please don't hate on me. Just a confirmation would be nice.

Why has my battery life gone to **** since I updated my firmware to OS4?! Is it just me? If not, how do I get it back to how it was?

Regards,

Not just you buddy - I used to get out about 4 hours of battery life, but since I've upgraded to iOS4 I get about 3... On a 3Gs

My battery life has also taken a beating on my iPhone 3G since I've upgraded to iOS4.

Yup, I specifically check the "usage" option in the settings before I charge the phone at night

I've just jailbroken my iPhone 3G on iOS4 and selected multitasking and background wallpaper....so now the battery will take a huge hit!

Hey, at least I've got battery percentage now, so I can see how fast the battery drains. :p

I don't know what you guys are doing with your phone to get such bad results with the battery. Mine running OS4 gives me a whole day - from 100 % at 05.00am, it goes down to around 80 % at 11.00pm. I only use up 20 % through an extended day.....but then I don't play too much with apps, nor do I sit on the phone too much. I am getting about the same life as I was pre OS4.

I used to have that but after a few resets and charges battery seems fine again, there is a bug with the meter that requires a reboot and full recharge to calibrate the new OS I think.

I absolutely LOVE multitasking on my iPhone 3G! And it's fast when it switches between apps. Woo-hoo!

Battery meter now on 75%, from being fully charged two hours ago....and doing all the Cydia updates.

Will keep you posted.

Surf the net, SMS, push Gmail, Facebook apps, an occasional game, some phone calls, ipod. For me that adds up to about 3 hours of active use. obviously I don't use ot for 3 hours in a row, but by the time I get home from work I have to charge it
