Battery meter stuck

Hi Guys,

I did post on XDA in the Rom developers thread regarding my problem,

but i thought Id ask here as well. maybe something else i should try.

Wileyfox swift (v1) running CRdroid oreo latest and greatest,
battery meter seems stuck, sitting on 50% power the whole day, even if i charge it up, even if I switch it off and charge it then, stays stuck to 50%.

did follow some of the suggestions on the internet, did try wiping Cache, and Dlavik,

didnt help,

what else I can do?, will try a bit later today with another battery, see if the problem follows the battery, or it stays fixed at 50%

stock, nobody has cheap replacements locally,

Have you tried throwing it out the window whilst driving?

Maybe it just needs to be calibrated.

interesting issue now, tried a different battery (original) works perfectly now.

swap back to the original battery, battery meter frozen up at 50%,

weird issue, really weird.

If you use it, does it go down from 50% or does it just stay there (unlikely I'd think, but you said it's frozen at 50%)?

If it's not the calibration issue, and it's moving down from 50% after removing it from charge, it is probably just a simple loss of 50% of the battery capacity.

stays frozen at 50% even when being used, at one point it even turned off, no notice nothing, just turned off, and when plugged in showed the same thing 50%
very very strange,
right now have a different battery in the phone that acts normally, but the old battery acts really weird i must admit.


no actual idea why it does such a thing.

Sounds like battery's ****ed, just get a new one.
