You will be outputting a higher wattage into the bulb (54W as opposed to 48W). Should be critical I think, unless the wiring in the lantern can't handle the extra 0.5A.
Please explain your logic?
When I studied electricity, wattage was = current x Voltage, which is dependent on the lamp's resistance and not dependent on the battery's maximum current capabilities.
That's right Amp Hour - I assumed the OP meant that.You're more likely right than I am... never studied electricity. Also, I meant to type "shouldn't be critical" not "should be critical" for what that's worth.
